The Army recruitment rally held last week at Kottayam, Kerala, saw thousands of candidates moving in with a strong desire to join the Indian Armed Force. There were more than 2,000 candidates to appear for the tests on the first day of the recruitment rally. The rally was conducted by the Thiruvananthapuram Army Recruiting Office.
The rally was organized for candidates from the southern and central districts of Kerala. Candidates were present from districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, etc.
On the first day of the recruitment, candidates from Thiruvananthapuram and certain select parts of Kollam were made to appear for the tests. The tests started at 2 am. The recruiters first tested the physical fitness of the candidates. It included physical endurance test, health tests, etc. Along with these tests, the official records of the candidates were also scrutinized.
On the second day of the rally, candidates from Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts were called to appear for the tests at 2 am. Candidates from the other districts appeared for the tests on the following days, as they were previously informed.
A senior officer from the Thiruvananthapuram Army Office said that more than 23,000 youths showed up for the recruitment rally from all the southern districts of Kerala up to Ernakulam.
