The Indian Army’s Remount Veterinary Corps invites applications from eligible veterinary graduates for a grant of short service commission. The candidates should be an Indian citizen aged amid 21 to 32 years as on September 04, 2018, which is also the last date of application submission. The applications must be receipted on or before 05:00 pm on the last date in Directorate General Remount Veterinary Services’ office.
Minimum Educational Qualification
The candidates have to have BVSc or BVSc and AH degree from a recognized university from India or an equal overseas degree. The candidates should have recognized veterinary qualification comprised in 1984’s Indian Veterinary Council Act’s first or second schedule. Besides, the candidates should have cleared the qualifying exam with internship at the time of application submission. Also note that those cleared the qualifying exam are required to have mark sheets of all semesters, years, or part in order to apply for the post.
The Selection Method
Firstly, the applications’ screening and short listing will be conducted at DGRVS, the Ministry of Defence’s or Army’s Integrated Headquarter prior to forwarding applications to the Recruiting Directorate, Integrated Headquarter of MoD or Army. The eligible candidates whose applications are in order of the requirements will be called upon to appear for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview on a date specified for that.
Upon arrival of the candidate at the selection center, they will have to undergo the first stage of the testing process. If you clear the first stage, you will have to undergo group and psychological tests and an interview. If the SSB recommends you and declares you are medically fit, you will be enlisted for training as per the merit order according to the available vacancies.
How to Apply
If you are interested to join Army Remount Veterinary Corps under Short Service Commission, you have to type the application on a plain paper of 21 cm into 36 cm dimension as per the format stipulated in the Army recruitment advertisement. The envelope that contains your application should be super-scribed in red colored ink clearly denoting “Application for Short Service Commission in RVC”.
