The Indian Army has released a notification inviting interested and eligible male candidates for the post of Veterinary Graduate on Short Service Commission (SSC) in Remount Veterinary Corps. Here are the vacancy details for the post:
Candidates should posses BVSc/BVSc and AH degree from a recognized Indian university or an equivalent foreign degree to apply for the post. Also, a recognized veterinary qualification, which is included in the first or second schedule of Indian veterinary act 1989, is essential for applying for this post.
The Directorate General Remount Veterinary Service, IHQ of MoD (Army) will perform the initial screening and short listing of candidates before forwarding them to the Recruiting Directorate, IHQ of MoD (Army). Short listed candidates will have to pass the two-stage selection procedure.
Only those candidates who pass the stage 1 of the selection process will qualify for the second stage. The stage two will last for 5 days, and include psychological tests, group tests, and personal interview. Medically fit and SSB recommended candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. The merit list would also be based on the candidates’ SSB performance and their higher educational qualifications.
The basic pay offered to the selected candidates for the post of Veterinary Graduate would be Rs. 15,600/-, whereas the Grade Pay would be Rs. 6,500/- with an additional military service pay of Rs. 6,000/-. Many other benefits are also available to the selected candidates.

Eligible candidates should apply for the post of Veterinary Graduate in the prescribed format. All the necessary and required documents should be kept along with the filled application before sending. Candidates should place their application in an envelope, which should be “Superscribed in Red Ink” and clearly indicate “Application for Short Service Commission in RVC.”
The age of the candidate should be between 21 and 32. Last date of application submission is September 1, 2016.
