Indian Army has invited applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment to five Lower Division Clerk posts. The candidates who are eligible for the post need to apply in the prescribed format and the application should be submitted within 30 days from the date of publishing of the advertisement.

Name of post: Lower Division Clerk
Candidate must have passed 12th class from any recognized University or educational board in India. Applicants should also have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.
Candidate should be between the age of 18 and 25 years on the last date of submission of the application form.
Selection of the candidates will be done based on the result of the written and typing tests. The final merit of a candidate will be determined based on the marks obtained in the written examination and typing test will be conducted only for the qualifying purpose.
A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer is necessary to qualify. Thirty five words and thirty words per minute corresponds to 10500 and 9000 keystrokes per hour respectively, on an average of about five key depressions for every word.
The written test will have four parts, General Intelligence, General English, General Awareness, and Numerical Aptitude. The question paper for the written test will be provided in two languages, English and Hindi, but the portions about English language will be in English only.

While applying for the post, the candidate should provide two self-addressed envelopes with necessary postal stamps. Candidate should also write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LDC” on the top of the envelope in upper case letters. Candidates should also write the category to which they belong on the left hand side of the envelope.
