The officials from Indian Army recently announced that would be conducting a recruitment program for interested and eligible graduate candidates for the post of Religious Teacher in the Indian Army. Candidates from all over the country can submit applications for the above post on or before November 08, 2017. It is crucial to note that the recruitment officials will reject the applications that are submitted after the deadline. Interested candidates who are planning to submit applications to join Indian Army as Religious Teacher must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized board or university in the country. In addition to that, they should also have to satisfy the following qualifications as per the religious denomination of the person.
Hindu candidates who have successfully passed Bhushan in Hind or Madhyama in Sanskrit can apply for this post. However, candidates who have passed BA with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the main subjects will also be able to submit applications for the post of Pandit in the Indian Army.
Sikh candidates who have successfully cleared Vidwan in Punjabi language or the ones with an equivalent standard in the concerned regional language can join the Indian Army as Granthi. In addition to that, Sikh candidates who have cleared BA with Punjabi are also eligible to submit applications for the post.
Muslim candidates with Adib Alim in Urdu or Maulvi Alim in Arabic or with an equivalent standard in the concerned regional language can submit applications for the post of Maulvi in the Indian Army. In addition, candidates who have successfully cleared BA with one of the elective subjects as either Urdu or Arabic can also apply for the post.
Civilian candidates who are in the age group of 27 to 34 years as on October 1, 2018, are eligible to submit applications for the post of Religious Teacher in the Indian Army. The age limit set for serving combatants is 25 to 34 years as on the said date.
