On October 30, 2018, the Indian Army released the notification regarding the Army recruitment into the Technical Graduate Course meant for B.Tech/B.E. holders. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications for the same via the official website of the Indian Army. The last date for filing the application is November 28, 2018.
Educational requirements: Candidates who have successfully completed the Engineering degree or are in the final year of the same are eligible to apply for the Technical Graduate Course. The latter set of students should be able to produce the proof of passing before July 01, 2019, and the Engineering degree certificate in 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the training session at the IMA. In case of non-submission of the degree certificate within the stipulated time, the candidates will be admitted on Additional Bond Basis for the purpose of recovery of training expenses as well as stipend and pay.
Nationality: The candidates must be unmarried male and must be (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Nepal, or (iii) a subject of Bhutan, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before January 01, 1962 with the objective of settling down in India, or (v) a person of Indian origin who has come over from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, with the aim of settling in India. Those belonging to the (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) categories should be able to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. The certificate of eligibility is not required for candidates belonging to the Gurkha tribe of Nepal.
Duration of the course: The training will last for one year at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
Age limit: The candidate should be 20 to 27 years old as on July 01, 2019.
Selection: The selection of the applicants will be based on SSB, medical exam, physical standards, and personal interview.
Application procedure: Applications should be submitted through the official Indian Army recruitment website only. Candidates need to click on Officer Entry Apply/Login and then select Registration. Fill the form carefully and then choose Apply Online. A page regarding eligibility will open up and the candidates are required to fill the personal and educational details carefully. After submitting that, the applicant will get an option to check and edit the submitted information. Candidates are required to note down the roll number and other details provided by the system.
