Indian Army is inviting applications from interested and eligible male engineering graduate candidates for the 125th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-125), which will be beginning in July 2017 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. The applicants are invited for the Grant of Permanent Commission in the Indian Army in all Arms/ Services.
Candidates who wish to apply for the grant can submit their applications from November 8 onwards at the official website of Indian Army. However, aspirants must submit their applications on or before December 07, 2016. Applications submitted after this deadline will be discarded. Other relevant details about the vacancy are listed below.
Number Of Vacancies
Indian Army is offering 40 vacancies for Engineering graduates. Out of the total 40, eleven posts are exclusive for Civil Engineering graduates, while four posts are reserved for Mechanical Engineering graduates. Five of the remaining seats will be filled with Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics graduates, and six of them are reserved for Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Technology/ Info Tech/ M. Sc. (Computer Science) graduates.
Electronics & Telecommunication/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/ Satellite Communication graduates will have to compete for seven posts, while Micro Electronics and Microwave graduates will have to settle for a single post. The remaining six posts are divided equally to Electronics and Instrumentation/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering graduates.
The age limit set for the candidates, who are planning to apply for the above vacancies, is in the age range of 20 to 27 years as on January 1, 2017. This means that the applicants should be born between July 02, 1990 and July 01, 1997. It is significant to note that both the dates are inclusive.
Candidates, who are wishing to join Army for the above grant must either posses a degree in B.E/ B. Tech (Engineering) or they should have attended the final year examination of their Engineering course.
The selection of the applicants will be entirely based on their performance in medical examination, personal interview, and the cutoff percentage, which will be determined by the HQ of MoD (Army).
