The Indian Army is inviting applications from eligible candidates hailing from various parts of West Bengal for Soldier and several other posts. Eligible candidates who want to join Army in any of the posts can apply online through the official website of the Indian Army. The candidates are also advised to go through the eligibility criteria stipulated in the Indian Army recruitment notification.
Indian Army Recruitment Procedure in a Nutshell
First, there will be a written examination for online registered applicants. Then, a physical eligibility test will be conducted. It will then decide who will get through to the third and final step of the recruitment process; that is, the personal interview round. Only those who qualify in the written and physical tests will be eligible to appear for the final interview. To apply for Soldier General Duty, candidates should be aged between 17½ years to 21 years. For Soldier Clerk, Soldier Technical, Solder Store Keeper Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, and Soldier Tradesman posts, candidates should be 17½ years to 23 years of old. For Education Havildar post, the age limit is 20 to 25 years, and for Junior Commissioned Officer it is 21 to 27 years.
For Soldier (GD), candidates should have cleared matriculation with minimum 45 percent marks. For Solder Clerk or Solder Store Keeper Technical, candidates should have passed matriculation or intermediate in Science with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English with 50 percent total marks and 40 percent marks in individual subjects. For Soldier Technical, candidates should have 10th Class or Class XII in Science with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English with 50 percent aggregate marks and 40 percent marks in each subject.
For Soldier Nursing Assistant, candidates should have cleared Class XII in Science with Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English with 50 percent aggregate marks or Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Bio Science, or Botany, and English simple pass. The stipulated marks for the intermediate level is not applicable for B.Sc. Degree holders, provided that candidates have studied the said four subjects also in Class XII.
The Indian Army recruitment rally for candidates from Darjeeling and Kalimpong area will be conducted on November 01 – 02, 2018 at the Ghoom Army ground, and the last date to apply online for that is October 16, 2018.
