The Indian Army is conducting a recruitment rally for candidates of Chamba and Kangra districts in Himachal Pradesh. Eligible candidates can register online on the official website of the Indian Army from January 14 to 27, 2018, and it is reported that the Army will conduct the open rally from February 12 to 21, 2018, at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar HP Krishi Vishvavidyalaya.
The rally is conducted for the posts of soldier Clerk/ SKT, Soldier General Duty and Soldier General Duty Indian Domicile Gorkha. While submitting the online application form, candidates should submit the date of birth and domicile certificate, together with 10th and 12th certificates. The candidate should have completed their 10th and 12th class with a minimum of fifty percent.
Those candidates who have completed their studies from National Institute of Open schools (NIOS) will have to submit their transfer certificate. In addition to these certificates, the candidate will also have to submit caste and conduct certificate, not more than six months old, authorized by the village Sarpanch.
To be eligible for the post of Soldier General Duty, the candidate should have a minimum height of 163 centimeters and for the post of Soldier Clerk/SKT the minimum height requirement is 162 centimeters. 157 centimeters is the minimum height required to be eligible for Soldier General Duty (Gorkha) post. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum weight of forty-eight kilos, with a chest span of 77 centimeters when not expanded. A minimum chest expansion of five centimeters is compulsory for all the candidates.
For the post of Soldier General Duty, the candidate should be above 17½ years and below 21 years of age, meaning that they should be born between 01-10-1996 and 01-04-2000. For Soldier SKT/Clerk, the minimum age is 17½ years and the maximum age is 23 years or the candidate should be born between 01-10-1994 and 01-04-2000.
The candidates can download their admit card for the rally from January 29, 2018 onward. Only those candidates with a valid admit card will be allowed to take part in the recruitment rally. If your online application is accepted, you will have to take a print out of the admit card and produce it at the recruitment rally site.
