Benefits of having a NCC Certificate

Being in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) does improve your chances of getting into the Indian Army. Based on the NCC certificate, a candidate willing to apply as a soldier enjoys certain relaxation in the CEE (Common entrance exam).
NCC A: Additional 5 marks in the CEE applicable for Soldier GD, Soldier Clk / SKT, Sol Tech, Sol Nursing Asst and Sol Tradesman
NCC B: Additional 10 marks in the CEE applicable for Soldier GD, Soldier Clk / SKT, Sol Tech, Sol Nursing Asst and Sol Tradesman
NCC C:Additional 15 marks in the CEE applicable for Soldier Clk / SKT, Sol Tech, Sol Nursing Asst. Exemption from attending the CEE for Soldier GD and Tradesman

Besides this, there are other Officer entry schemes tailor made for NCC candidates –

Entry Schemes Men – Graduate Non UPSC

Criteria:- Graduate 50% Aggregate marks, 2 Yrs service in NCC Senior Division Army with minimum ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam

Vacancies per course:- 50 per course (twice a year)
